MA, There’s A Crazy Lady In That Van!!

So I’m drivin’ down the road heading into the big city early this morning. Have a hair appointment and then going to meet Bonnie at the Square to see how much money we can spend! I’m in a great mood, got the radio blarin’ – CHUM RadioSloop John B starts to play, Gimme Gimme Some Lovin’ follows right afterward and then they play a little Gordon Lightfoot! What a way to start your morning.  I’m pumped, I’m singin’ away, got my left wrist hangin’ over the top of the steering wheel, got my right elbow resting on the arm rest and I’m makin’ that Van bogey!!!  OH MY GOD!!! I forgot!!!  I’m driving a VAN!!!! Now I know why the kid in the back seat of that passing car was staring!!!! An old broad, mouth and jaw flopping up and down, hair all frazzled (remember I’m going to the hair dressers and my comb this morning was my two hands), her wrists are dangling over the steering wheel as if she’s got arthritis – and to add insult to the whole picture, her shoulders keep jerking back and forth and up and down!!!!  God, I hope they didn’t call 911!!!!! What the hell, let them talk, I’m never gonna see ’em again!!! LOOK OUT!! – they’re startin’ to play a Springsteen song – let’s boogey boys!!!!!

The shopping trip was nice!! Didn’t spend any serious money, but managed to find a cool shirt and bag. Our best time was sitting at the Food Court, eating an A & W cheeseburger and onion rings, followed by an ice cream cone!! So what year is this????

Born and raised in a small town in Ontario, Canada, with 5 sisters and a brother. Now retired, my husband and I travel, play golf and am slowly renovating our new (old) home. After my kidney transplant in 1999, we've learned to enjoy life to the fullest. Nat and I have driven across Canada, taken an Alaskan cruise and drove home via the Northern United States. We've also been to Mexico, the Caribbean, the East Coast of Canada and Cape Breton. We've done the "Snowbird" thing, having lived in Destin, Florida for a couple of months of the year. In 2007 we changed our travel plans in order to move into and renovate our new "old" home, but hope to someday get back on the road again. We also love returning to Scotland (Nat's origin of birth) to visit his family and tour the Highlands and surrounding Isles.
